The next camp will take place from the 20th – 30th July -2019 at our new and wonderful venue at Colin Godman’s Farm in the Ashdown Forest near Forest Row in Sussex.
Colin Godman’s Farm is a large biodynamic farm with cattle and sheep which is rented and run by Jayne and Michael Duveen who have very generously offered to host us after having seen our request in the Star and Furrow magazine. We are grateful too that the farm owners, Paul and Isobel Manweiler are equally supportive of this initiative. We did have generous offers from many other places but none of them quite ticked the boxes we felt we needed. Colin Godman’s has absolutely everything we dreamed of – 3 lakes for safe swimming, streams, forest, hiking, large barn and outbuildings, and the very generous offer to store our camp kit on the farm. The farm is also near to Haywards Heath train station and Gatwick airport which will be a great help for fetching children and helpers coming from afar.
The camp fee is 1st child – £350; 2nd child – £250; 3rd child – £150. If the fee is too high for you please ask us about the possibility for a reduction. We will never turn your child away because you can’t afford it. There is also the option on the form to pay a little extra to support those who cannot afford the full fee. Many parents do this each year and it is always an enormous help. Thank you so much.

It is always very encouraging but also overwhelming to see the number of young people who would like to join the helper team on our children’s camp each year. Naturally we cannot take everyone and sadly have to make a selection of some kind. In order that we can do this in as fair and transparent way as possible, we are introducing a new Helper application form that the leadership team can use to make the decision. The deadline for helper applications is the end of March and we’ll do our best to get back to you by the end of April.

If you love the spirit of the camps but are over 14 – we also organise regular youth activities. These are sometimes in the form of a short residential trip within the UK or abroad, with workshops, discussions, hands-on experience and of course singing and games. Additionally, we are also always keen to travel as a group of youth and participate in larger initiatives/conferences with other youth groups from around the world. If these ideas interest you, please get in touch (email@example.com), and we can inform you of our latest plans and add you to the mailing list for future initiatives.
