The basic principle of our camps is essentially that of creating experiences for our children where they can most wholly and truly be themselves.
Every child is precious and has something important to bring to the world, regardless of their apparent challenges.

We wanted to pay tribute to Michael Duveen, who sadly passed away 26th November 2023. He and his wife Jayne have been very generous, supportive, and kind, welcoming us to their working farm every year for the last six years. They have long supported biodynamic agriculture and the Christian Community, and it was so lovely for them to support our camp impulse too in such an amazing way. It was always a pleasure to see Michael around the farm during camp, and he enjoyed joining us for circle time when the occasion allowed him too. We will greatly miss him and Jayne at Colin Godman’s farm in 2024, and appreciate Isabel and Paul allowing us to continue there this year. We will see how the future unfolds beyond that.

The camp is open to children aged 8 – 14 years from all backgrounds. Sorry, but we cannot take any 15-year-olds this year.
We offer reductions for those who cannot afford the full fee. Please let us know ahead of your application if this would be required in your case by emailing the camp at cc.camps.stroud@gmail.com

Colin Godman’s Farm is in the beautiful Ashdown Forest near Forest Row in Sussex. It is 3 hours by car from Stroud. The nearest train station is Haywards Heath (20min), and the nearest airport is Gatwick (30min), with taxis available from both the train station and airport.

Camp Activities
Mosaics, kite-making, leatherwork, candles, steam-cars, beadwork, and a sweat-lodge among others. There is no limit to the creative possibilities. Every year we are amazed at the capacity of our helpers and children to come up with new creative ideas in all that they do – and with such community spirit!
